Nordic biked 5,867 miles this summer. Don't act like you're not impressed.

If you've noticed that Team Nordic looks a little leaner, tanner, and more windswept this fall, there's a good reason.

This summer, we biked 5,867.4 miles between June and September, the equivalent of 281,635.2 calories burned, 80.4 lbs lost, or 500 Big Macs consumed without the consequential weight gain (healthcare caveat: we do not recommend this).

To inspire the challenge, Nordic had monthly team rides in Madison, as well as a monthly raffle for participants that included biking gear, jerseys, and toolkits. Some riders participated in century rides to benefit specific causes, and many others biked to and from work rather than driving, saving a pound of greenhouse gas emissions for each mile substituted.

Below, check out a few photos from Team Nordic's biking challenge.
