System Administrator
The system administrator will be responsible for administration and maintenance of Nordic’s systems and workstations. They will improve upon existing infrastructures and will be responsible for providing strong technical support, end-user training, problem solving, and developing strategies to prevent future problems.
Key Responsibilities
The system administrator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing IT-related inventory, including procurement and tracking
- Being a part of a collaborative systems and security team to provide help desk support and administering all of Nordic’s IT systems (e.g. mail, CRM, intranet, and peripheries)
- Performing user and security management in all systems
- Providing training, support, and issue resolution follow up for all end users
- Performing routine hardware maintenance and deployment
- Maintaining and troubleshooting devices and systems, hardware, and software
- Creating process documents/user manuals
- Providing IT orientation for new hires and transfers
- Working on business operations projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis, and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
Skills and Experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience assisting end users in person, over the phone, and via live chat and help tickets or emails
- 1+ year of systems administration and/or workstation support experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and server operating systems
- Proficient knowledge of Office 365 applications and PowerShell preferred
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
Compensation and Additional Details
- Position is located at our home office in Madison, WI
- Occasional travel up to 5% of the time
- Salary will be based on skills and experience
