Your role

A Nordic Senior Manager - Affiliate Solutions is an experienced consultant leader. You'll work directly with our Affiliate Solutions team to enable sales opportunities, support solution development, and provide exceptional onsite solution delivery to our clients. You’ll need a strong understanding of healthcare challenges. 

This position is a unique growth path for consultant leaders who want to do more than just regular consulting, as this role is tied directly to our Affiliate Solutions team. As part of the team, you'll be trained in our methodology with direct access to our toolkit. You’ll need to "embrace the gray" as we work on the most pressing and strategic client issues. That may mean building a solution for a client who needs to extend to a critical access hospital quickly, leading a Nordic team in building and deploying a Community Connect model to multiple independent ambulatory physician practices, or helping build tools to support our consultant leaders in the field. Full Job Description

Senior Manager - Affiliate Solutions

Provide consulting services to clients on Epic-related projects in a project leadership capacity. Work directly with the Nordic Strategic Solutions team to enable sales opportunities, support solution development, and provide exceptional on-site solution delivery based upon the needs of Nordic clients.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Strategic Solutions will perform, and is not limited to, any combination of the following duties and responsibilities below

Project Manager & Delivery

  • Monitor overarching project health; identify, mitigate, or escalate issues as needed
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plan, communication plan, and risk/decision trackers
  • Define, manage, and adhere to project scope
  • Use, update, and customize client and Nordic-provided tools throughout project life cycle
  • Create polished project deliverables and communications
  • Present with confidence and well-polished demeanor; facilitate executive-level meetings
  • Manage meetings effectively; prepare agendas and goals, take notes, track follow ups
  • Produce regular status reports; perform project close, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer

Consultant Team Management

  • Provide overall project and team direction in collaboration with Engagement Advisor
  • Work with Engagement Advisor to interview and identify project team members, as needed
  • Manage, coach, and mentor team, resolve conflicts, maintain positive team morale, and deliver direct and timely feedback based upon project work and performance

Sales Enablement & Solutions Development

  • Support the creation of Nordic solution materials, such as toolkit documentation and proposals
  • Discuss client needs with Strategic Service Line (SSL) leadership for new solution creation
  • Serve as lead advisor or project management consultant resource for client opportunities; work with SSL leadership to build sales presentations and collateral and present to client
  • Take direction from Nordic Home Office, including Engagement Advisor and SSL leadership
  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested

Skills and Experience

  • At least one Epic certification preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years Epic project management experience required
  • Experience with Epic extensions (Community Connect, mergers, acquisitions, or owned rollouts) or optimization of Epic required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service attitude and skillset
  • Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and monitor one’s own work product
  • Proven ability to thrive in and foster an existing team-oriented culture rooted in respect, high ethics and integrity, team work, camaraderie, collaboration, and effective communication
  • Solution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutions
  • Experience in sales or presenting to large groups or key stakeholders preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Works primarily at client locations, some of which may be in hospitals and medical clinics
  • Additional work to be performed in a professional office environment and/or remotely
  • Ability to travel up to 100 percent of the time
  • Position works a non-traditional schedule; work may be needed on weekends or evenings
