Your role

A Nordic resume & proposal specialist understands the needs of the client and concisely creates resumes, proposals, and requests for proposals that convey Nordic's approach to delivering best-in-class people, products, and services in a way that is understandable and engaging. We're looking for someone who can make it about "we" by facilitating collaboration across teams to ensure timelines and quality standards are met. You'll need to act like an owner and have strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Resume & Proposal Specialist

The Resume & Proposal Specialist will prepare and edit content that enables the sales proposal and client submission process, including an emphasis on consultant resumes and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

The resume & proposal specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Facilitate the day-to-day client-facing materials function, including managing the resume creation and maintenance process across multiple internal teams
  • Understand the needs of the client and concisely create resumes, proposals, and requests for proposals (RFPs) that convey Nordic’s approach to delivering best-in-class people, products, and services in a way that is understandable and engaging to healthcare organizations
  • Facilitate coordination across stakeholders and teams to ensure collaboration leads to successfully meeting timelines and quality standards
  • Create resume foundation based on provided candidate or consultant resume and interview notes, including resume preparation, writing, editing, and updating as appropriate to display qualifications, past accomplishments, and experience in a clear and readable format
  • Ensure resumes meets structural, technical, and quality requirements
  • Adhere to specific client and Nordic standards in the proposal and resume creation process
  • Participate with the potential to lead strategy sessions on assigned proposals and resumes to develop approaches to developing winning content
  • Establish and manage Nordic’s proposal library to house resume tools and templates for easy access and reuse
  • Assist in the development of materials for proposals or RFPs to ensure consistency and adherence to resume requirements
  • Complete additional interviewing to better position candidates for preferred roles as needed
  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis,and may assist other teams and corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in content development with a strong emphasis in resume writing strongly preferred
  • Adobe Suite experience strongly preferred
  • Strong track record of creating high quality content, including resumes and proposals, with successful outcomes
  • Able to independently define and manage pieces of the proposal preparation process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service required
  • Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail is necessary
  • Able to work quickly and meet strict deadlines
  • Creative mindset with the ability to evolve proposals, including resumes, to enhance sales tools
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims and have a service-oriented outlook
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Healthcare IT industry experience preferred
  • NCRW, CPRW, CARW, or other resume writing certification a plus, but not required

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Position is located at our home office in Madison, WI
  • Occasional travel up to five percent of the time
