Your role

A Nordic experiential marketing specialist assists the experiential marketing manager and the rest of the marketing team with a wide range of marketing and event planning-related tasks. You’ll need to be able to make it about "we" as you work with members of the marketing team on a variety of projects including venue sourcing, event planning and execution, branded gifting, presentation design, and other tasks as assigned. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your strengths as a member of a high-performing marketing team. If this sounds like you, here’s what you’ll need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools strongly preferred

Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist will manage and contribute to projects within the marketing team in a range of activities such as: copywriting, marketing logistics, graphic design, events, and digital media.

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist will have responsibilities across the marketing function but may focus in on areas of particular expertise depending on team needs, including but not limited to

  • Writing blog posts, web copy, and sales collateral
  • Planning and coordinating events, including research, selection, execution and measurement of event success
  • Leading promotional product selection and inventory management, including custom design projects
  • Managing video/podcast/webcast production logistics, including oversight to vendor partners as needed
  • Writing, producing, and assisting with production of print collateral
  • Preparing and editing of presentation materials as well as graphic design work
  • Assisting with public relations activities including awards and press releases
  • Assisting with digital advertising and general marketing metrics
  • Gathering and disseminating relevant industry content
  • Working on business operations projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis, and possibly assisting other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested

Skills and Experience 

  • Continued education in marketing or related field (e.g. advertising, journalism, film/media or event management) required
  • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing role
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a mindset of customer service
  • Ability to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to details
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Position is located at our home office in Madison, WI
  • Occasional travel up to 5 percent of the time
