Your role

A Nordic marketing specialist assists the brand, marketing, and communications team with a wide range of tasks. You’ll need to be able to make it about "we" as you work with members of the marketing team on a variety of projects including proofreading content, vendor coordination, digital media creation, and more. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your strengths as a member of a high-performing marketing team. If this sounds like you, here’s what you’ll need:

  • 0-2 years of experience in marketing or advertising with an interest in brand management, healthcare, and/or technology
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video production, and/or photography strongly preferred

Full Job Description

Marketing Specialist

The marketing specialist will assist and contribute to projects within the brand, marketing, and communications team in a range of activities, such as copywriting, marketing logistics, vendor coordination, digital media, and more.

Key Responsibilities

The marketing specialist will have responsibilities across the marketing function, but may focus in on areas of particular expertise depending on team needs, including, but not limited to:

  • Writing copy for social media, web, internal communications, emails, and sales materials

  • Publishing content across our various digital channels

  • Assisting with public relations activities, including awards and press releases

  • Assisting with digital advertising and general marketing tactics

  • Gathering and disseminating relevant industry content

  • Coordinating marketing team efforts that support the business’ marketing strategies

  • Managing a marketing calendar of key business tentpoles for Nordic and the business solutions in collaboration with other marketing team members

  • Developing and maintaining communications with external vendors to produce content

  • Working with internal stakeholders to coordinate needs and project deliverables

Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or equivalent experience in a related field required

  • 0-2 years of experience in marketing or advertising with an interest in brand management, healthcare, and/or technology

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of AP style a plus

  • A strong desire to work in digital, mobile, and social media

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools a plus

  • Video production and photography skills a plus

  • Able to work independently and within a team environment

  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Position is located at our home office in Madison, WI
  • Occasional travel up to 15% of the time
