Your role

A Nordic Manager - Strategic Solutions - Population Health serves as the central point of contact to oversee all phases of a project, from design to completion, to ensure all projects are executed successfully. We're looking for someone who can make it about "we" by communicating effectively with all project stakeholders and working with Nordic teams on sales enablement activities such as onsite presentations and proposal creation. You'll need to act like an owner and represent Nordic by attending conferences and client presentations regarding Nordic's Strategic Solutions.   • Deep knowledge of Healthy Planet and population health
  • Epic certification and prior experience with Epic's Flight Plan required
  • PMP certification strongly preferred

Full Job Description

Manager - Strategic Solutions

Strategic Solutions is responsible for the strategy and direction of Nordic’s business lines with a focus on innovation and creating or aligning solutions to meet client needs. The Manager – Strategic Solutions manages all aspects of growing Nordic’s business lines as a member of the Strategic Solutions team.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager - Strategic Solutions will be responsible for, but not be limited to

  • Serving as a central point of contact to oversee all phases of a project, including project design, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing to ensure all projects – whether directly managing or providing oversight – are executed successfully
  • Developing, managing, and adjusting client solutions based on scope, timeline, and cost implications
  • Monitoring and managing the project resources, scope, timeline, and budget adherence
  • Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders while serving as an escalation path to managing concerns or issues, which may occur through collaboration or referral to the appropriate department or position
  • Working with Nordic teams on sales enablement activities, which includes onsite presentations and proposal creation
  • Creating and developing presentations used to solicit new business from clients
  • Creating media content, including webinars, podcasts and blog posts, regarding key industry trends in relation to Strategic Solutions
  • Staying current of latest technology, regulations, and news relating to Epic and healthcare IT
  • Representing Nordic by attending conferences and client presentations regarding Nordic’s Strategic Solutions, may co-present with Strategic Solutions Directors.
  • Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Epic certification required; direct experience working for Epic preferred
  • Prior experience and understanding of Epic’s Flight Plan and other install methodologies required
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems through development of creative and value-add solutions
  • Able to positively influence and engage consultants and clients, generating interest and enthusiasm for the business line
  • Able to build strong relationships with diverse individuals
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible; able to quickly adapt to working with different employees, clients, and changing priorities
  • Ability to manage several tasks at various stages simultaneously and effectively prioritize
  • Solid working knowledge of office software, preferably Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel


Compensation and Additional Details

  • Travel up to 50 percent of the time, including travel outside of regular work hours
  • Working in Madison, WI is not required but trips to the Nordic Home Office in Madison, WI will be expected
