Your role

A Nordic manager of operations - Implementation Services will make it about "we" by enabling communication and collaboration between all Nordic departments and the Implementation Services business unit. We're looking for someone who can act like an owner and spearhead functional area improvements, such as internal documentation, new hire orientation and onboarding, procedures, etc. You'll ensure that key projects are completed, innovative tools and methodologies are developed, and internal processes for success are developed, documented, and monitored. Manager of Operations - Advisory Services - Implementation Services

The manager of operations, Implementation Services supports and coordinates operations between Nordic’s Implementation Services team and other internal departments and aids the director of operations, Implementation Services (IS) in ensuring collaboration across business units. This person will ensure that key projects are completed, innovative tools and methodologies are developed, and internal processes for operational success are developed, documented, and monitored.

The manager of operations, Implementation Services will have the following key responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Being a contributor to the IS team in project work, initiatives, and matters that span across Nordic’s other business units and shared services teams (IT, PMO, HR, finance, etc.) 
  • Enabling communication and collaboration between all Nordic departments and the IS business unit
  • Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders while serving as an escalation path to managing concerns or issues, which may occur through collaboration or referral to the appropriate department or position
  • Assisting with operations and key initiatives between IS and other business units that optimize overall performance of the business unit
  • Collaborating on the development of innovative tools and methodologies for IS operations focusing on operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement to provide value and enable successful client, team member, and operational outcomes 
  • Providing insights, feedback, and ideas to IT to develop and maintain service level agreements, business unit reports, and operations infrastructure for the IS team; tracking current IT issues and trends and providing regular updates to the IS team
  • Spearheading functional area improvements, such as internal documentation, new hire orientation and onboarding, procedures, etc.
  • Managing process improvement by setting the scope and schedule of project work and communicating project status to leadership
  • Leading the development, documentation, maintenance, and adoption of standards, policies, and best practices
  • Acting as point of escalation for project team and client
  • Performing services directly for clients as necessary 
  • Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare IT required; direct experience with Epic systems preferred
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations preferred
  • Continuous process improvement experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, as well as with diverse candidates, consultants, and client bases
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and to alter approach or method to successfully lead change; reacting well under pressure
  • Solution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutions  
  • Strong attention to detail as well as ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Travel up to 25% of the time
