Your role

A Nordic director of Data & Analytics focuses on developing, selling, and delivering service offerings to solve healthcare organization’s key challenges. You'll need to think, act, and adapt with urgency as you help lead the growth and development of the Data & Analytics business line. We're looking for a strong communicator who can make it about "we," working with internal sales and solutions teams to design solutions and oversee projects to meet the needs of healthcare organizations.   • Three or more years staff management experience
  • Five or more years of health IT experience, Epic experience preferred
  • Well organized with strong attention to details
  • Experience with data analysis and analytical tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, and Tableau is preferred

Director of Data & Analytics

The Director of Data & Analytics is responsible for supporting the growth and development of the Data & Analytics business line. This role focuses on developing, selling, and delivering service offerings to solve healthcare organization’s key challenges. Further, this role ensures the success of Data & Analytics projects, serving as the key business line liaison to both clients and consultants, monitoring the progress of the project, providing oversight, education and guidance, and performing client-facing work as needed.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Data & Analytics's responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Leading the transition to a scalable Data & Analytics business line in partnership with the VP of Data & Analytics

  • Supporting pre-sales scoping and solution design activities in close partnership with internal sales and solutions teams

  • Project oversight, including completing regular client and consultant check-ins, reviewing status reports, providing recommendations and best practices, and identifying risks and creating mitigation plans

  • Developing customized sales presentations, proposals, and other documentation for client project needs

  • Serving as a thought leader in the Data & Analytics space, including presenting at conferences and webinars, creating presentation content, developing blog posts and white papers

  • Acting as point of escalation for project team, including client site visits and performing services directly for clients as necessary

  • Traveling to conferences to solicit new business opportunities and relationships with current and new clients

  • Educating clients and consultants on Nordic Data & Analytics products and services including teaching internal Nordic classes

  • Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and possibly assisting other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3+ years direct staff management experience required

  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare IT required; direct experience with Epic systems preferred

  • Experience implementing or developing enterprise analytical solutions required

  • Experience with cutting edge technologies such as machine learning, cloud services, web application development preferred

  • Working knowledge of Healthcare data standards (HL7, CCD, FHIR) preferred

  • Strong understanding of software and software implementation services

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

  • Experienced in talking comfortably with individuals at all levels of an organization in groups or individually and with C-suite and senior leadership

  • Ability to positively influence and engage consultants and clients, generating interest and enthusiasm for the business line

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Working in Madison, WI, is not required, but strongly preferred. Trips to the Nordic Home Office in Madison will be expected 
  • Travel up to 50 percent of the time, including travel outside of regular work hours
