UTMB CEO Donna Sollenberger joins Nordic Board of Directors

MADISON, Wis. – Nordic is proud to announce that Donna K. Sollenberger has joined its Board of Directors. Sollenberger has served as executive vice president and CEO of the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) since 2009. She oversees all clinical strategy and operations of the system, which includes five hospitals and 90 clinics.

Sollenberger brings the experience and leadership from holding the CEO position at multiple health systems for nearly two decades. Prior to joining UTMB Health, she was EVP and CEO of the Baylor Clinic and Hospital. She also served as president and CEO of the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.

“We’re excited to add a proven hospital CEO of Donna’s caliber and experience,” Nordic CEO Bruce Cerullo said. “Her market vision and strategic input will help guide Nordic’s continued evolution from Epic staff augmentation to a diversified healthcare IT professional services firm offering end-to-end solutions.”

During her tenure at UTMB, Sollenberger has led the system-wide implementation of the Epic EHR and overseen the opening of multiple hospitals and clinics.

Sollenberger also serves on the board of America’s Essential Hospitals, the leading association and champion for hospitals and health systems dedicated to ensuring everyone, including the most vulnerable patients, receive high-quality care.

“Having worked first-hand with Nordic, I’ve seen that it is a firm that truly listens to the needs of healthcare organizations,” Sollenberger said. “I’m happy to provide guidance as we work together to improve healthcare.”

She joins the current board members, Cerullo, Managing Partner of SV Health Investors Tom Flynn, and Managing Partner of Silversmith Capital Partners Jeff Crisan.
